When Paul Revere looked to the sky that fateful night in 1775, it was for the sparkle of a lantern. We all know the story; one if by land, two if by sea. Actually two was by river, but hey whose going to split hairs for a little poetic license here! As we all know the clip clopping of his horse that night, made history. A change was coming and it was coming fast. There were many that night who I am sure uttered, “it’s about time,” hoping the status quo could be regained with England, while many others filled with excitement and lined up to give the British their due. Either way this place has not been the same since.
We too find ourselves entering into a period of change. Only this time our lantern is high in the sky; actually it is in the stars. For now is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius my friends. Accordingly we are at the end of one age (Piecies) and entering into a new one (Aquarius). These periods last around two thousand years if you’re counting, with the last age starting about the same time Christ was here. Very heady stuff if you are into astronomy of any sort. Hmmn… you say. So what do we have to look forward to?
All this new age stuff, which started out as so weird, isn’t so weird anymore you may have noticed as of late. The form or communication we are using now, “the Blog” has people all over the world talking to each other that will never meet and before the introduction of this technology would still be strangers. We share ideas, news, opinions and personal thoughts at a speed that baubles the imagination. Word Press has over a million Blogs registered and get this; they are all free. Community in the Age of Aquarius will take on a whole new dimension. We may be, “Bowling alone,” but we definitely are not lonely! Video now is shared on just about everything. If you have not been to, “You Tube,” yet you are missing some really good stuff. And its all free, at least for now; the good the bad and the ugly.
The changing of the Ages this time means we have to adapt to new energies. Acceptance of developments in science such as computers and technology are now becoming the norm for us not the exception. Who among us does look a bit peculiar at the person who announces, “I don’t have e-mail.” Talk about dating yourself.
Other items that not long ago we were treating as weird or off the wall are suddenly not so weird; Alternative medicine, astrology, vegetarianism comes to mind as well; all growing rapidly in popularity, and are all subjects associated with the sign of Aquarius. I looked at several sites to find out more about the dawning, and couldn’t settle on one best site. So your on your own there, just Google it, you know how that works. Talk about using our new vocabulary. Your screen will be populated with plenty of choices in no time at all!
